Any status on why server's are down for Garden Warfare 1 and 2?

The servers have been down for nearly 5 hours, with no updates on what is happening with them and when they will return. Cheating issue has been at it's all time worse today, with cheaters joining in...

I'm trying to get on right now and it says "Failed to retrieve patch status. Do you want to retry?" I even restarted my PC and nothing. I was playing fine yesterday

    Servers are down for GW 1 and 2, that's what the error means
