Battle for Neighborville wont get past loading screen/black screen
Hello, today i bought PvZ: BfN real excited because ive been wanting this game for awhile. Around the time it was playable percent (36%) it showed me the Pop Cap logo then soon after the Marigold stopped rotating petals on the bottom right corner. I shrugged it off and Alt + F4 to close but then i couldnt open the game because it "already was". I waited for the download to finish then restarted the PC. Tried opening again and the same issue happens
What i tried doing:
- repair game files in Origin
- update my GPU drivers
- disable my Kaspersky Antivirus
- allowed access to Public networks in the Firewall (Private was already allowed)
- run Origin and the game as administrator
- repair Picnic files on the EasyAntiCheat launcher
- add the game into my Radeon library (this ended up launching the game with a black screen and smaller resolution. Ive removed it now and hasnt gone back to the PopCap logo since)
- close the game on Task Manager ( EasyAntiCheat shows me an untrusted file, see the picture. Ive tried deleting it but it says its being used by a Network app) so this might be culprit?
- disable Origin in-game for the game
i know that my CPU is under minimum spec but ive been able to run more demanding games like RUST and Apex Legends with relative ease and only having a few freezing issues every now and then but i cant even play BfN. Hopefully i you guys can help out but in the mean time ill keep trying. Thanks.
UPDATE: Ive uninstalled and reinstalled the game as a security measure and now ive tried clean booting which got rid of the black screen ang got me back to the PopCap logo but its opened windowed and its a little pixel-y. Ive also cleared the Origin cache but in the end im still unable to play the actual game.
