Okay, I know I'm gonna get a lotta hate for this, but.... multiplayer... is a little less fun. At least, for the Turf Takeover maps. In the first game, the odds were about 50/50 for each team, maybe slightly higher for the zombies. Most sucessful defenses would either be at the last point, or a particular hard point (Apartment for Main Street, Suburbs for Cactus Canyon, etc.). And that was fine- it was fun moving through the different areas, even if you were the defense.
Nowadays, attackers rarely seem to get anywhere. I've played twelve matches since joining up- only two resulted in attacker victory (both were Herbal Assualt before Rose nerf). It's... really not that fun. In my opinion, with the exception of the endgame, each individual point should favor the attackers- the defense can make up for it in number.
Also, it may just be that I'm buying character packs with the single player coins, but I really find myself short on summon packs. At the very least, can we get some more turrets with each pack? Don't forget, those things get used in Ops, Turf Takeover, and Backyard Battleground.
Okay. I don't know if anyone was asking for this. I don't know whether or not anyone wanted this. But the speed decrease is killing me. It is so hard to find cover against enemies, and half the fights I enter just seem to be one gaint spam fest. I understand why they did it- make it easier for new players, but the game is a lot less based on skill now. It took me a long time to perfect the GW1 shooting mechanic- circle the enemy, and lead them with your shots.
At the very least, I think Peashooter and Engineer should get some speed back. These are guys whose entire mechanic relies on circling the enemy with Hyper/Jackhammer. I also think it would balance Rose a little bit more. If players moved faster, Rose would have a more diverse move pool- Homing Thistles for fast players, ability spells for slower, bulkier characters. This would force players to alternate between Rose's primary and abilities depending on the situation, making it a better balanced game.
I dunno, maybe I'm just being that guy who hates change. I guess I can get used to it. What do you guys think?
