Randomly maxed out account pvz gw2

I took a 2 hour break from this game and when I came back I got all the achievements and all my characters were maxed out. I saw on a forum that this is a hacker that tried to get me banned basically. Is there a way to revert this?

    I talked with some people in a pvz server and they basically told me that I just have to wait and it's going to revert in about a week or so but it can take longer
