If something was newly introduced then its best to make a new thread. Things that help us potentially narrow down whats happening:
Platform
What exactly happens? Crash? Is there still sound? etc, anything you can tell us can help
Any specific circumstances where it does or does not occur? This can also narrow it down.
Is everyone mentioning this issue on xbox One? Does it happen if you switch and join their backyard instead?
- @EA_Jenni
The problem is linked to a certain handful of people. What happens is that those certain people cause anyone to crash when hosting/joining the backyard.
So if that person A attempts to join or host Person B, then Person B will immediately crash everytime. This occurs on Xbox One and has happened during the Beta phase but was able to be resolved with quick troubleshooting. However, now nothing and I literally mean NOTHING on our end in terms of troubleshooting has fixed this issue. It has lingered and has made it unplayable with friends we wish to play with.
Also to reiterate, Person A is able to play online, on any game without issue. However, this title, restricts Person B from connecting.
We have tested this amongst ourselves in the forum to no avail, with multiple scenarios being the very same. Leading us to suspect that network issues on EA are the culprit. - ApprovedAnonymous9 years ago
But if its account specific then that means its something happening on that level rather than on networking. When I have time later Ill see if anyone has found out anything for this issue
- @EA_Jenni
Would be very unlikely that it is related to our network when...
A) Able to play variety of other games without issue, this includes hosting and joining.
B) Have gone through every method of troubleshooting, to the point of exhaustion, as listed above.
C) Exact issues occur with a multiple number of people vs just one instance.
I don't mean to pry, I know how tedious bugs can be. But, playing with certain friends is impossible, sort of defeats the purpose of wanting this game in the first place.
I urge you to look into it, it's a rare issue certainly, but it does exist and we aren't able to do anything, leaving it to the EA team. Still hopeful for a solution, but at this point I'm pretty irritated that it has gone unnoticed for this long. - ApprovedAnonymous9 years ago
Im not saying its your network at all, Im saying it sounds like there are a few very specific accounts that seem to be effected. Thats part of the reason this is hard to track.
- @EA_Jenni
Apologies, I misunderstood. Agreed, I can see why finding a solution can be extremely difficult when targeted towards a selected number of people. I only hope there is something that can be done, even if it takes a little while longer. Also, it has been a while since the last update where we were told it would be looked into. So, just wanted to persist on the matter. - ApprovedAnonymous9 years ago
Totally understandable why you are looking for answers on this 🙂
- @EA_Jenni could it be related to specific ISPs? Brand or Modem/Routers? If at some point down the road nothing can be found are refunds able to be rewarded or some sort of compensation?
I understand it is hard to replicate as stated in a previous post. This issues has just caused the limited amount of us to become frustrated because our friends can't play with us in a party. - ApprovedAnonymous9 years agoThis happens on Xbox one. Whenever I receive an invite from a friend and try either join the backyard or Garden Ops, the game freezes and lags. This occurs whether I host or someone else hosts. I have ATT Uverse for internet and do not have this issue in any other games.
So, not sure what happened but long-story short... it FINALLY works!!! I finally connected to my girlfriend, we just decided, "hey why the heck not, lets try again". Next thing you know, I am joining here game and we are both in the Backyard without issue.
I will note that I joined her via notification invite and that a few days back I was contacted by @Popcap_JaGo as I assume the rest of you were. Otherwise, we are playing at the moment without issue - which is so amazing! Finally!!! After so long... I can enjoy this amazing game.... so great... :eahigh_file:
If anything changes I will post immediately, also update confirming we are free from problems.
I hope everyone is good too.
As for whatever the fix was,
Thank you.

Glad things are ok now, sorry for the trouble 🙂
- ApprovedAnonymous9 years agoI have this problem right now. Everytime I try joining my friends game my and only my game crashes and everytime my friend tries joining me, my game also crashes.
Is there any fix to this? I'm in Xbox btw Thanks : P - I am still having this issue. Everytime my friends joins me, it continues to crash my game as well as my other friends games.

I would like to know what they did to fix it for you because it is happening to me and it looks like no one is fixing this issue. I just learned while attempting a work around that i joined a friend through an invite while he was in a lobby doing the boss hunt. But still can't join the backyard battleground lobby. I am playing on the Xbox as well. Any replies would be much appreciated.
- ApprovedAnonymous8 years agoIt was apart of the patch that enabled us to play. Though the process was excruciating and involved us continuously badgering the developers and PR team. Eventually it was addressed and fixed.
However, not too long ago we experienced the same issue. Everything is identical to the issue we first experienced. Though by now I have lost my confidence and patience to attempt to contact the team for another fix that will probably last months like it first did due to its rarity.
My advice is to continue to post here, communicate with others or do what I did and tag them via twitter or Facebook. May take you multiple attempts and several days of effort but maybe they will fix the issue once more.
Wish I could help more but I could care less about this game due to the frustration it caused. Sadly it ruined the game for me to the point where I don't even bother with EA anymore. Hopefully you have more patience than me, wish you the best in solving this. If you need something, contact me via Twitter
Best of luck, friend. - Sadly I've tried to remedy this for to long and have lost interest in playing as well. I had spent some money so my friend could play with me. But u fortunately this bug prevents that from happening. I've even given up on even trying to see if it is fixed because it disappoints over and over with this game breaking bug. Like that post before me said keep posting here and on Twitter and eventually they will either fix it or tell you they can't.
Good luck to the others that stuck this out. - ApprovedAnonymous8 years ago
What if i don't have twitter? I don't feel like making an account just for that. I just think its sad when developers and publishers sit there and deny or ignore problems with games when the public is sitting there and telling them whats wrong over and over again. Then they try to make us look stupid, like we don't try everything possible on our end to fix it. With a bug that in my opinion ruins the whole point of the game they sure don't act like its very important. Trust me if i even knew about this bug before I bought it honestly, i wouldn't have. Now I am going beyond my normal fix it myself type of situation because i realize that this bug isn't common enough to get enough attention to be fixed ASAP. Quite annoying if you ask me, and even worse that this bug has reoccurred how many times now.
- Agreed but all we can do as a community is make them aware. By offering our point of view on what we see when these bugs occur and provide the feedback in a constructive way. But it's up to them if they see it as a bug that needs to be addressed. But I see your point.

Could I try Jenni? She seemed to respond before for someone else.
- ApprovedAnonymous8 years agoHello im posting this to inform EA that the 2015 need for speed for xbox one is still crashing when trying to join/invite friends to play. I don't know if this has been looked into or not recently but i was wondering if things will be debugged. I know it was a discussion about a year ago and i wasn't sure if resolve was has come to the crashing would love to know if things are getting better or not.
