All mods available on Nexus are safe. You can use a mod that boosts your character from level 1 to 10 after defeating just a single enemy, though the leveling process might still feel long and tedious. You can also use a mod to unlock and instantly access all game content, but I find that starting from scratch is more enjoyable.

Okay so, you were right, after linking my new account it works for now. However, like you previously said, I'm back to square 1 with no levels, money or characters. Is there a way to upgrade? I saw some money hacks so that could be a possibility and is it safe? Or would you recommend anything else? Thanks also thanks for putting up with me and walking me through it all!

Oh I did not, that must be the reason, I will unlink it and link it to the new one and have a look in a bit. Thank you 

Did you unlink your old account and link a new one?

Unfortunately, I'm getting the same issue. I signed in to a different EA account, launched the game through steam, it boots up normally. Then when I close the game and launch it again, it launches but through the old EA account which has that issue each time. Is there a fix for it or are you not aware of this issue?

So I've just tried this, using a different EA account but the same steam one. All my progress is there and the game now boots up properly. I don't have to level anything up and nothing is reset. Thanks.

If you purchased the game on Steam, you do not need to buy it again, and you can use mods to restore your progress.

Ahh I see, to play on a different EA account would I have to buy the game again? Yeah unfortunately it sucks honestly, all my characters have been maxed out too.
