I’ve played both the event game and regular game but have not received credit for the games played in the surprise event.

Hello! For the Limited Time Suprise Event for 600 Pogis, completing levels in The Swordsmanship Club Event in Bejeweled Stars will not count towards progression towards the surprise event. The Badge guidelines state "Win 27 levels for the first time. (Replaying levels counts only if you have already completed all available levels.)"
Ensure you are playing levels you have not played before. If problems persist, logging out of Pogo and clearing your browser’s cookies and cache can help. It gives your device a fresh path to connect with Pogo’s servers and often clears up little glitches.
