Hello and thanks for reaching out! Please give me a moment to try and help each of you.
"I'm getting kicked out" + "It never opens" + "robot face"
🧐That’s your device talking to you. Gaming sites are far more demanding than casual web surfing, they require more processing power, more memory, and more graphics resources. If a device is struggling, crashes and failed launches, is its way of saying it needs attention.
I would compare it to packing a blender full of stuff, if it's too weighed down, it's not going to move. The device is hitting a limit somewhere and for some reason.
Pogo doesn’t require us to download games, everything runs through our browsers. However, and this is a BIG however - the browsers and devices we use today are far more complex than they used to be, which means they need more upkeep to ensure everything is running smoothly and safely.
So how do you figure out what is causing this blocking, freezing, or not loading? You'll need to figure out the exact device and the exact browser you’re using.
When freezing, crashing, or failing to load happens, it typically indicates that the device is reaching a limitation in some area, such as low memory, overheating, inadequate processing power, or an excessive number of background applications taking up resources, corrupt files and at times even our internet connection can interfere.
The positive aspect is that most of these issues can be resolved: Pogo Troubleshooting Guide
Common Causes of Loading Failures
- Browser extensions: Ad blockers, password managers, privacy tools, or custom add‑ons can block scripts or page elements required for the site to load.
- Security Settings: Strict privacy modes, tracking protection, or disabled JavaScript can break site functionality.
- Pop‑up Blockers: Can interfere and stop the game from launching.
- Cache Overload: Old or corrupted cached files conflict with new site code after updates.
- Outdated Browser: Even a few versions behind can cause compatibility issues.
- Outdated Device OS: Older operating systems can’t support the newest browser features.
- High Memory Usage: Low available RAM forces the browser to unload tabs or fail to load game assets. Close other tabs while gaming.
- High CPU Usage: An overloaded processor slows script execution and can freeze or break the game from loading.
- *Graphics Driver issues (requires updating): Hardware acceleration depends on up‑to‑date GPU drivers; outdated ones cause blank screens, flickering, or failure to render content.
- Internet Stability (regular cleaning and updating): Modern sites rely on many background requests happening in sequence, so even a brief connection dip can cause a page to freeze, partially load, or time out. Routers also need periodic cleaning and firmware updates to prevent old data or outdated settings from interfering with how pages load on our devices.
😇 Friendly Side Note: Each Pogo game is unique. A single game can fail to load even when others work because each game uses different scripts, graphics, storage, and processing power. If anything in your browser or device conflicts with that game’s specific needs: Cache, cookies, drivers, extensions, memory, etc.,. that one game can break while the rest run fine.
Pogo provides the games, but our device configuration plays a huge part in how those games load and run.
Additional information and maintenance steps specific to your device and browser can be found directly from each manufacturer. They provide the most accurate guidance for keeping everything updated and running smoothly. Pogo does not have access to our devices to update, clean or change configuration.
*If you use multiple browsers on the same device, remember that each one needs to be updated and cleaned individually, they do not update or clean each other, i.e. Firefox, Edge, Safari, Chrome, etc. Keeping both your device and all installed browsers-maintained helps ensure games can load and run properly + keeps our devices secure and running their best.

Yes, you were part of the reply below 🙂 Pogo cannot fix the robot face/frown face. Honest. The frown‑face or robot‑face you’re seeing is just a browser error. It shows up when a page or game can’t load properly. It’s not a device failure — it’s the browser giving up on loading a page or game. It is fixable. 🎉
Below I asked our fellow players Txmom57 avr4203 who are having a similar issue to perform an internet search with questions like:
- Why am I getting a frown face when trying to play a browser-based game?
- How to fix a “Frown Face” Error
- Can Pogo fix the robot face/frown face on my device?
Upon completing the search, it will present troubleshooting procedures similar to the Pogo Troubleshooting Guide and possibly more steps based on the device.

Hello! I've moved your post to join others who are dealing with a similar issue. I can understand how frustrating it must be not to have been able to play Solitaire Home Story for months, and I'm truly sorry you're going through this.
In the initial post you tagged it as playing on an Apple device. Would you mind taking a moment to look at some Apple Troubleshooting Guides for help?
Pogo Troubleshooting Guide: Apple Devices
Pogo "A Problem Repeatedly Occurred" Troubleshooting Guide
At times our devices and browsers can act a bit fickle, especially when we’re playing games through a browser. On Apple devices this can happen when the browser gets overloaded, the cache builds up, storage is nearly full, the software or browser is outdated, or the device slows things down to save battery or prevent overheating, configuration and settings is another big one. A quick refresh, clearing the cache, updating the browser and iOS, freeing up some storage, or restarting the device usually gets things running smoothly again.
Kindly take a moment to review the guides and try each step, if one does not work move on to the next. If you have any further questions or need any further help, please do not hesitate to reach out again. Together with other players and our EA Community Managers, we will be happy to offer you more support.

Hello! I replied to your post here regarding the " frown face" you are experiencing. Were you able to try any of the troubleshooting steps to help resolve this issue?
A frown face generally means the game couldn’t load something important, this is the browser’s way of saying “I can't and I gave up.”
☹️What typically causes the frown face error:
- Outdated browser: Safari or Chrome needs an update to run the game properly.
- Low storage: Will slow down or block processes when storage is nearly full.
- Corrupted cache: Old or broken temporary files prevent the game from loading.
- Browser crash: The game used too much memory or hit an unexpected error.
- and more having to do with configuration and settings.

Hello I replied to your other post here (you can also scroll down). I’m really sorry you’ve been unable to play various games, I know how frustrating that can be to endure, especially when you’re paying for a service you want to enjoy it! The good news is that issues like games not opening are generally caused by something on the device or browser rather than the games themselves, currently I am able to access all the games on the Pogo website.
Please take a moment to review my reply below and the Pogo Troubleshooting Guide for guidance.
If you continue to experience issues, please reply back with the type of device you are utilizing (laptop, computer, phone, tablet) and which browser you are using Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, etc. for additional troubleshooting suggestions.
⭐Friendly Reminder to all Readers: Pogo is unable to update, check, or modify our devices. Actions such as clearing cookies or cache, modifying browser settings, updating our system and configuration are tasks that only we can perform on our end. *Pogo does not have system‑level access to our devices, we as players maintain complete control over our own settings and configuration.

Hello again Txmom57 ! Here is a bit more information for all readers that may be in a similar situation.
Errors messages can appear for anyone, regardless of whether they’re a paid member, a free user, or a visitor. These messages appear on phones, laptops, tablets, and desktops because they come from the browser engine itself.
These error messages do not originate from a website. They are produced by the browser itself, these are crash signals at the device system level generated by the browsers engine.
Chromium‑Based Browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera)
- “Aw, Snap! Something went wrong while displaying this webpage.”
- A sad‑folder icon
- A blank, white or black screen
- A page that closes, crashes, or tries to reload itself
WebKit (Safari on macOS & iOS)
- “This webpage was reloaded because a problem occurred.”
- "A Problem Repeatedly Occurred"
- A blank white or grey screen
- A page that reloads repeatedly
- A message saying the tab “encountered a problem”
- A spinning loading circle that never finishes
These error messages are not coming from Pogo. They are coming from our browser. When the browser engine crashes, it shows its own warnings, and a website can fix or change these error messages.
