Merge Academy - Lost Energy when claiming bonuses

It isn't adding new energy.  I was able to complete a chapter and earned energy.  I didn't collect any bonuses. As soon as I clicked on the new chapter, all my new energy was gone.  I tried collecting bonuses, after losing energy and it just says that there is an issues; which only gives the option of quitting the game. This is so frustrating.  When will this get fixed?  Why would they add a challege using a game with so many bugs?
