ive opened them all but not cleared then if that makes sense. i reload page fast and can usually get another stab at it before it auto saves. there is a candybar artifact sitting in an open square that shouldnt even be there.

Well, At least you got the chest :-)
Without seeing a screenshot, have no idea about the candy bar artifact. As long as you have all your artifacts done and now you have your chest I wouldn't worry about a piece left on the board!
