Merge Academy

Not been able to get on Merge Academy since the 23rd November just keeps sticking on the loading page. Tried re-loading game, turning pogo off, leaving it loading and turning laptop off it just sticks at the same level of loading every time.

Hello! Sorry to hear Merge Academy is stuck on the loading screen, that's no fun at all.

At this time Merge Academy is loading normally on the Pogo website itself, so this may be happening on your end for a variety of reasons (browser, device, or network).

The stalled loading is like a telephone ringing, and no one is picking up - something is preventing it from fully connecting so your device can speak with Pogo servers.

Here are some troubleshooting steps to try:

Clear Cookies & Cache: Cookies store login/session info, while cache stores site files. Over time, they get bloated or outdated, causing glitches and pages failing to load (even for one specific game).

Update your browser: Device Patches can come in at any time and sometimes multiple times a week. If your browser isn’t up to date, it can block the “handshake” between your device and the game servers, leaving you stuck on that ringing-phone loading screen. *Rather you are a Windows user or Apple user, they have both sent a flurry of updates and patches in the last 60 days. Even if you recently checked, always check again - updates are never-ending.

Extensions, Firewall or Blockers: Ad-blockers, script blockers, or even antivirus browser add-ons can interfere with Pogo’s game loading. Disable extensions temporarily and ensure Pogo is on your whitelist (safe) for any antivirus programs you may have.

Memory: If your device is low on memory (RAM), the browser may stall while trying to process all the game assets, leaving you stuck at that “ringing phone” loading screen. While gaming try and have only the Pogo website open to help free up resources.

Check Internet Stability: Internet stability is just as important as being connected. Even if your Wi-Fi shows “connected,” unstable signals can cause games to freeze, fail to load, or failed progress. If you are using a Laptop or Desktop:

Update graphics drivers: Outdated or corrupted drivers often cause conflicts. At times they can update on their own, at other times we need to check to verify their status. Our device only performs periodic checks for drivers and might not have the most recent version. Verifying updates through the manufacturer is a good rule of monthly practice.

Disable Hardware Acceleration: If there’s a conflict between the browser and your graphics drivers, it can cause freezes, crashes, or endless loading loops. Think of it like bypassing a faulty “fast lane” — hardware acceleration is meant to speed things up, but if the lane is blocked, turning it off lets traffic flow smoothly again. You can turn it on or off at any time!

Give one or each of these troubleshooting steps a try, if one does not work, move on to the next.

If you need help, please ask or you can perform an internet search that will give you detailed steps on how to do any of these steps for your specific device.

Hope this helps and please feel free to reply back and let us know how it goes!
