Names banned

Question

Just noticed today the new censorship standards Pogo geniuses implemented.&nbsp;Who was the Einstein that made this decision? I can no longer use the names of some of my friends in my chat. You are banning member's names?&nbsp;&nbsp;Do the people making these decisions have even a basic grasp of the English language or is this task farmed out to another country?
On top of last week's gems fiasco you really can't afford another disaster. Members are leaving in droves when they aren't being banned by some nonsensical decision by the same people implementing the censorship.
You can delete my post, but your members are talking. I am not alone.

&nbsp;I am only interested in what the censored words mean in English. In my 24 years as a Pogo member, censorship has never been this bad. Additionally, your subtle insults have not gone unnoticed. Bringing back Uncensored Chat could resolve this problem. My friends are being banned and suspended for the most ridiculous reasons and they are not coming back..I have friends who are former EA employees so I feel your pain. Please don't take it out on your customers.

Thank you for your response. I am not complaining about the censorship of the obvious words that should be censored; I am complaining about words like Twink(Short for Twinkle).If you had ever been in a chat room, you would realize that names are often used in the chat. Additionally, the youngest person I ever saw in a room was 30. The median age is closer to 60.

I stand by my original post. Pogo should really consider reimplementing the Uncensored Chat Rooms.

There is also the topic of slang words, which I believe may be the issue in your case.&nbsp;Platforms are required to adhere to local and international laws, which may require them to censor certain types of content.&nbsp;What one word means to us may mean something different to someone else and vice versa. I have been censored for no reason.&nbsp; all of my chat is&nbsp; ####### , but i have done nothing to have it censored. If pogo wants to do this they are making where I cant play the game and chat. So, i wont be coming back unless they fix it.&nbsp; if your going to censor people, you have to alert them to why they are being censored.&nbsp; This is going to cost EA pogo alot of people not playing. I am not even buying a membership because I dont want it to be censored after I pay.&nbsp; They are censoring to protect&nbsp; 13 year olds, but when you pick&nbsp; your age, it starts at 18.&nbsp; there are no 13 year olds on pogo, it is all older people...just an FYI. POGO HAS THREE DAYS TO FIX THIS **bleep** OR IM GONE.
