Hello! Sorry to hear you are having issues with progress saving. I moved your post to this thread because your troubleshooting steps will be the same as players who are not able to load the game.

Why? It’s not anything you or anyone else did wrong. Browser games rely on your device, your browser, and having enough system resources and the right settings. If any of these are limited or misconfigured, the game may not load or save properly.

Solitaire Home Story is one of the more resource heavy games with lots of moving parts., When we open the game there are pop-ups, Daily challenges, Daily bonuses, Chores, Season Pass Event, Phil, Oscar and other pop-up side games, Rose's Roses, Jackpot Spin, Daily Spin + it automatically saves.

🌺If you have popup blockers, browser extensions, or not enough system resources, outdated software, corrupt cookies and cache, the game may not load or save your progress properly. Preforming a bit of cleaning and troubleshooting usually resolves a lot of issues. 

Pogo is a browser-based gaming site, now and in the past few year's browsers update every 2-4 weeks, when these updates happen, they can:

• Disable Hardware Acceleration: Causes animations, story items, and game scenes to fail or not load.
• Reset or break extensions: Ad blockers, privacy tools, and script blockers may suddenly interfere with game scripts.
• Change cookie and local storage behavior: Can corrupt game data, preventing story tasks from saving.
• Modify GPU/graphics driver compatibility: Can switch to software rendering or block GPU features games rely on.
• Alter security settings: May block pop‑ups, scripts, or cross‑site data the game needs.
• Change memory management: Can unload game scripts mid‑action, causing tasks to fail silently.
• Reset site permissions: Microphone, pop‑ups, autoplay, or storage permissions may be turned off.
• Invalidate cached game files: Forces the game to reload assets, sometimes breaking older cached data.

• Not every time, or each one but these are commonly known possibilities with browser updates.

For anyone having loading issues or issues with progress being saved please give the troubleshooting steps a try, not only for this game but all browser-based games any time you see something not quite right. Just takes a bit of looking and checking, you got this!

Regarding Solitaire Home Story. For over a week I haven't been able to use my stars to advance the story / get thee next furniture item in the Story. I have over 50 stars at this time and it's been a problem for quite awhile now. It worked, then didn't then again it did and now it doesn't.

I click in the Story tab which opens up (currently) Chapter 92. I click to use 3 stars to chose which bird bath. It deletes the 3 stars, I choose which bird bath and then nothing. The chosen item doesn't pop into the scene and I have to refresh the page to get out of that spot and back to the main area. My stars have are back in my stars total and the story / chapter hasn't advanced not has the Get a Bird Statue in the Chapter vanished and no new ones have appeared.

It's very frustrating because I have been stuck for over a week in this same spot and I'm getting super tired of it. I'm a long time yearly subscriber and this is annoying me enough that I'm thinking of cancelling and deleting.

Solitaire home story. I'm having issues playing. It constantly stops playing please fix I can't make badges

These games will not load. Solitaire Home has black screen. I was able to play up until about a month ago. Merge Academy has a white screen. I haven't been able to play for months. You give badges for these game and I am not able to earn them, it isn't fair.

All I get is a black screen. I was able to play about a month ago now nothing. This is the same for Merge Academy

I have the same issue. Thinking about not renewing unless this type of problem gets resolved.

Have same problem. It was fine until POGO went down for updates! Every time they do an update it causes problems!!!!!!!

It will look like it's going to be okay and then crashes before I can play a game. I'd say out of 10 tries I may get 1 time it works.it just goes to that little sad square ( crash) 9 tries out of 10. How can anyone enjoy this? Plus leave out the stupid story - I think too much is going on in the game has a lot to do with it crashing. I like the solitaire card game, not somebody supposedly remodeling their house!. 

Solitary home story still not loading on my iPad. Is this ever going to get resolved? I’ve been reporting since February 2026
