Hello! Sorry to hear you’re experiencing issues with combining powerups. I double-checked the game on my end, and I was able to combine powerups as normal.
In the meantime, I would try clearing your cookies and cache. Over time, both can become bloated or outdated, which may cause glitches. Additionally, if you are using a mouse, I would also check the connection or change the batteries, anything "go off on their own" is not a common occurrence.

Hello! Congratulations on your new computer 😊🎉They are fun! Make sure to check your internet speed, sometimes older routers can't keep up with newer devices, and you might need to restart or upgrade your router for the best performance (always something to double check when getting a new device).
So the good news is neither the game, nor your computer are "broken". The common misconception is if I have a new device, it shouldn't need any further updating or have any issues.
In reality, all devices require constant updating and maintenance—this is how they stay secure and current. Updates can happen at any time, even if you just checked yesterday or earlier this morning.
As for why it worked on Monday and stopped working after the Christmas theme—this is actually your browser trying to help!
Pogo is a browser-based gaming site, and each game stores data (cookies and cache) on your device to load faster. When you played on Monday, your browser saved the game files. Then the game updated to its Christmas theme with new graphics, code, and files.
🧐 Now your browser is confused: It's trying to load the old Monday version it has saved, but the game server is sending the new Christmas version. They don't match, so the game won't load properly—it's like trying to fit puzzle pieces from two different puzzles together!
The fix is simple:
Clear your browser's cache and cookies. This tells your browser to forget the old version and download the fresh Christmas version from scratch.
Make it a habit to check for browser updates. These can come in at any time and sometimes multiple times a week, I recently experienced mine updating 4x in one week!
If you or anyone reading this is an Apple user - Apple just released the iOS 18.2 this week, with the full public release expected on December 11th, it's one of Apple's biggest feature releases of the year. When Windows or Apple roll out updates, these are done in stages and by regions, not everyone or every device gets an update at the same time, so please keep an eye out for updates.
As a gamer another good thing to watch out for now and in the future is graphics driver updates (again can happen at any time and will go through updates constantly).
Give these troubleshooting steps a try and I am confident this will get you back to playing Matching Moments!
