Electricity glitch

Today I faced a problem when I just started to build a new city. Suddenly red power symbols, tap symbols started appearing even though the supply or the capacity was almost double the demand. It has reduced my city's population by 50 percent and the happiness index went from 100 to 55. Idk if it is a glitch or something else.

IF ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO FIX IT PLEASE TELL ME🙏🏻😭😭😭

  • Same here. I have put in a customer service issue, obviously a bug in the new update

Same problem with electricity, seawage and water. I have +100 on each, but sims continue to say need more, power and etc

  • Same here - showing warning on Water service ,  overall happiness dropped despite having overcapacity and having built upgrades

  • Same with me too. Really frustrating.
Mine crashes about 75% of the time I press the utilities icon.

I also have this problem. I have more than enough power capacity and the power plants are connected to the buildings by roads but still half of my buildings are complaining about not having power. My buildings are also complaining about no health/fire department/police even though they are covered by the green area. I also can’t collect speed-ups from my epic buildings. I lost 25% of my population because of this. I hope it gets fixed soon.

  • I’m affected by the same issue, and at this point it’s clear this needs a technical fix, not troubleshooting.

Based on the behavior, this looks like building-level service state corruption introduced after the latest update. Services show red warnings despite overcapacity, new buildings work fine, and the issue follows the building when it’s moved.

What needs to be done on the technical side is a service state reset / re-sync for affected buildings. The service flags for Water, Sewage, Power, etc. appear to be stuck or corrupted and are no longer correctly recalculated by the game.

If you contact EA Support, explicitly ask them to:

    • Escalate the case to a technician
    • Investigate update-related regression
    • Perform a server-side reset or reinitialization of building service states

This is not something players can fix themselves. The more of us who describe it this way, the more likely it is to be properly escalated and resolved.

Thanks for taking the time to comment, i am not surprised.

I wish there werent a need for us to spell it out to the EA team to get this resolved and given priority.....

To be honest, I am done with this company that offers a forum to report issues but then does not react at all,

  • Same issue here. Reinstalled the game two days ago after a few years break and all buildings are affected. Impossible to grow the city and honestly quite irritating!!

Would be good to know if this is gonna get fixed anytime soon, otherwise might just pivot to another game.
