Latest update on January 5, 2026 crashes when going to a regional city

Try switching off Holiday Tree effects / other city wide effects. I had this issue and had to switch off the Holiday Tree snow effect to travel to a region.

It also crashes if you try to visit another city to buy from their trade depot

Since the Costa Rica update today the game crashes every time I try to go to a region or a city on the global market.  I can go to and interact with the war map.

Does anyone from EA look at these bug reports?  Using the in-game help/customer service is a waste of time because they just tell you to update your iOS and try uninstalling/reinstalling the game.  That doesn’t fix the crashing. Game worked fine for me until the Costa Rica update so it’s not my iOS or device that’s changed, it’s the game. Yes, I tried uninstalling/reinstalling and no surprise that didn’t fix it.

Same here. Crashes when going to a region or visiting another city. Game totally unplayable

Correct, I can travel now

I switched oof the holiday tree, I can travel now, but when I switch it on again the same problem again, the game shuts off.

I didn't pay to get this problem, I hope they can fix this, it only began when the game was updated.

Do you have the Winter Holiday Tree effect active? I have mine active, and I noticed it crashes whenever I visit my regions or someone's city through GTHQ.

I need to turn it off first before I can move between regions and cities. Bummer.
