Advanced manual challenge - bugged or too challenging

The advanced manual challenge just doesn’t seem to count 2 flip tricks and 2 manuals in a sequence - keeps starting new sequence. Noticed many people complaining about this challenge on Reddit - can’t get past this point…  can’t progress past this point and may need to put the game away due to it
