I agree small changes go a long way and this can apply for all seasons like winter and summer for example winter can have maybe some small patches of snow with a cooler shift in color cast. just small changes can make the game feel a little more fresh and immersive. like even if it was JUST color of the foliage turning brown or orange for fall would be a nice little change to the atmosphere.
