IMPROVE QUALITY OF SKATEPARKS PLZ

Been loving the feel of the new Skate game, street skating feels so smooth and tricks are looking clean -

The BIGGEST FEEDBACK I have is the game could  REALLY do with some BETTER SKATEPARKS around the map that actually flow nicely - especially the community parks. Would be so cool to see an area added or more community parks in rotation with a more DIY/street style with good flow and more realistic features. The current parks in the game, both community rotation and permanent areas, are very lifeless and seem like they were created by AI with random features slapped on the ground that make no sense and ruin playability (the game already has to much AI reference).

To tie into the skateparks, transition skating seems to be very bugged with a few things :

  • The way you maintain speed on ramps can feel unnatural and pumping is inconsistent,
  • When trying certain grind tricks on coping my character more often then not gets launched or tricks get caught up and look wack.
  • Overall feels clunky and inconsistent compared to other styles of play and compared to other skate games

If more realistic parks were added it would immensely help the re-playability for people like me who like to jump on the game for some chill realistic skating, and give more opportunity to overlook the over-corporate feel, lifeless campaign and severe lack of gritty skate culture missing from the game !

You have the foundations for something great here EA dont mess it up!!!

  • It feels like the whole map is one constant city centre.

Compare to previous skate games that had residential areas, long roads with hills, artsy areas, some industrial spots, storm drain channels, city parks, hidden spots, a main city centre / financial district, etc.

The Skate 4 map, as detailed as it is, just isn't that interesting to chill out and skate around. Nothing feels like a cool discovery or a place to have a long session at.

And don't get me started on those rubbish random blue/yellow skate parks that look like an unfinished demo.

Imagine with the ability to climb fences the challenges of climbing into restricted areas, filming, then evading security. And those are the pristine skate spots. And the good skate parks have hidden access too. Definitely needs a feeling of discovery/risk for the hidden gems

Yeah, a bit like Skate 2 (and probably Skate 3 but I haven't played it).

Some great skate spots are within security areas. It just adds some variety to the game, and also is a great nod to what real skateboarding is about. Skating a spot and getting tricks/lines in before you get kicked off.
