Improving grinds and slides overall.

I’m not sure if anyone else has this problem but getting grinds and slides are very inconsistent. Sometimes I’ll somehow magnetize to whatever surface I’m trying to use but other times I’ll fly right over it or past it even when moving my board it in a certain position for a grind. I even have my grind assist on 0 and still find myself somehow magically moving towards curbs or railings that I’m not relatively near, yet when I’m actually trying to land on something  I just go right by it. Not sure if this is just a skill issue lol, but if anyone else can give any tips or an opinion I’d love to hear that as well. Also loving the new update and summer camp.

    so this isn't a skill issue (for the most part) or a grind assist issue, this is an issue with the games Auto detection system being far too aggressive.

    let me explain.

    let's say you're trying to hit a ledge going down a stair set, as you get closer to the ledge or the lip of the stair set the game quickly detects that you are approaching the obstacle and tries to help you achieve what it thinks you're trying to do based on your speed and approach angle and either pulls you into the ledge to grind it completely ignoring your zero grind assist setting or to lift you up and over as if you're trying to ollie over it.

    this object detection system is horrible for many reasons, it's inconsistent, it gives players less control over what they're trying to achieve, it takes away that sense of skill based progression when the game is constantly holding your hand and it also makes the game feel too floaty because the extra lift this mechanic gives you to help clear an obstacle is where that floaty sensation comes from.

    the best way to avoid Auto detection is to ollie further away from the obstacle in order to avoid the game making that connection.

    I'm currently writing up a post about this subject because it needs to be an option to toggle on and off..  for super casual players or mega ramp gappers it's perfect for them but for players who want more precise control and creative freedom this system is ruining that.

    I've noticed this too. it feels like game is always pushing or pulling me away or into things and trying to guide where it thinks I want to go. I really don't like it specially when it comes to grinds like you mentioned.  I feel like I how no control
