Good finds, I'll have a look at the parasols and update my reply. Off first glance I think its a Shader/Material or LOD issue, but it could also be intentional. I'll hop in-game and check them out.

This may be intentional, but it could also be a mistake.
With LODs, engines will swap to simplified meshes and materials based on distance. If it is intentional, the base color should match the LODs to make the transition less noticeable.
