Sinking Ship
I'm so glad to see the player count dropping day by day.
I'm so glad to see everyone collectively hating on this game across all your social medias.
I doubt you all even realize the extent of the betrayal you've done to possibly the most loyal fanbase in any sports game. Its been lie after lie and finally we as players had enough. That season 3 announcement was a nail in the coffin for all of us hardcore skate fans.
- You promised you wouldn't add paywalls to parts of the map, yet Isle of Grom is now semi locked behind one.
- You said cosmetics would be semi realistic in boardroom videos, now we got overpriced fortnite skins.
- You focus more on paid content then adding the tricks that have been missing for years.
- You said that progression would be balanced, yet you scrapped the good cosmetic progression system from the playtest. Meanwhile i was among maybe the top 100 players in terms of progression of cosmetics and level, only for you to allow players to buy their way to the top via tix in the skate pass.
- You are actively halting development on things that matter the most like player created skate parks, which were absolutely amazing in early playtests, despite the missing textures.
- You actively do not listen or even communicate slightly to the players. Basically making corporate decisions that benefit no one other than yourselves.
I haven't played this game in months, and I vow to never play it again. I urge everyone reading this to join "ea skate modding discord", and "Dumbad & Sunjay's skate 3 modding". The learning curve is very low, and if you're pc is capable of running this unoptimized game then it will run skate 3 on rpcs3 just fine. The mods skate 3 is now capable of is absolutely amazing, and it is almost in line with Tony hawk's underground pro, and rethawed.
I give the most sarcastic thanks to all of the devs that flushed my 3 yrs of playtesting down the drain. Skate. is now a sinking ship, and I hope it drowns before it even makes it to the isle of grom. The "layoffs" are deserved, and soon enough EA will pull the plug on this game when it stops raking in enough money to keep the servers online. I give you a sincere good luck, everyone who thinks they have a stable future working at full circle is gonna need it.
