Why does stance not work in skate

I’ve skated in real life for many years since a young child and I ride goofy. So naturally I put my stance as goofy in the new skate game. I have noticed that even tho I have this setting on my character is always skating regular pick up and drops the board down in regular stance. This is so **bleep**ing annoying. Ea if you see this fix this for the official release pls and ty great game overall
