Will EA listen?
This is my third and final feedback I will provide, I gave detailed feedback on 1st survey they provided and then another detailed once S1 came out.
Skate has a ton of potential but, I think, with how long this has been out, the gravity of the situation is this project was given to a newer generation of developers. I would be curious how many original developers of S123 put time, effort, and feedback into this game.
I'm not saying the new developers weren't able to put together a smooth functional game, they did, but it's a reskinned version of a Fort Nite model. The type of target audience that is so aggressively marketed to is wild.
EA... you have the secret sauce; you literally don't have to even be creative.
Watch og Skate 2 intro, there's your vibe.
and
Add any story, geez something I don't even care, bring Death Races, Hall of Meat, SKATE, 1UP, and every other game mode you have already created.
Custom Community Parks - The arena EA isn't doing **bleep** with, how about we can explore an infinite amount of player created parks or the ones we create ourselves.
If they were to listen to this truly, their player count wouldn't have fallen off the face of the earth, I played it a ton when it came out. I have barely turned it on in weeks, and when I do, it gets turned off quickly.
I know it's Early Access but, if you dropped the "Full Release" and incorporated what is above, you could probably have a game you could milk for 10 years, Skate 3 was timeless and still enjoyable to this day. If EA continues the Fort Nite effect route, this game will be nothing in 10 years. You had 15M people play it? They were that excited bc S123 were so good, and now it barley sustains players, hmm, maybe we go back to what worked the last 3 times in a row.
I only shared 3 reviews with EA because of my love for Skate 1, 2, and 3. They were childhood core memories, I grew up on Tony Hawk, Left X Kickflip, transitioning into the flick tech was such a cool upgrade. I really hope they listen to the deep down reviews.
EA will need to drop massive update, if we expand little by little, I don't think this game will ever recover its player count.
Fingers crossed and I'll write a book on how great EA is if they could actually pull something like this off.
