Annoying issues with BF2

I'm trying to play the game on PC, but there's some annoying stuff going on. On launch, the game opens, and if I try to switch to another window, an entire sequence of black screens occur until the game closes in the background. Also, when I open the game, it looks like it's tinted gray, and it seems to do the same to my desktop. Now, as for gameplay, everything works ok, except that the game randomly quits sometimes. I don't know if this is just because of my PC, or if it's actually a bug, but its pissing me off because I really wanna play. I searched online, but nothing comes up about my issue. I installed the latest drivers and everything, I just don't know what to do now. Can someone help me out?
