Yes, I am in the same boat. I waited until the PS5 Pro updates released to start the game and cannot progress with the exact same issue. Unfortunately, it appears that it’s just a small enough group of people with the issue that it’s just not being acknowledged, from what I can find online. It’s returned to the backlog of my games for now.
I'm also on a PS5 Pro so it might be a problem just on the Pro.
