I wanted to check if anyone is still running into this, or if you recovered your progress.
If not, try downloading your save from the PS cloud to see if it has the most recent progress.
- Go to Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings.
- Select Saved Data (PS5) or Saved Data (PS4).
- Select Cloud Storage and select a game > Download to Console Storage.

The issue is the cloud save for everyone was hours/days old. In my particular case I had auto upload on and yet the last save was a week old. Is there really no other fix that to just do it over again? Are the devs even working on a fix so this doesn't happen at least?
