Koboh Devastated Settlement Puzzles - Orbs not present/never loaded in by game

Summarize your bug When entering the Devastated Settlement during the mission 'Koboh - Research Tanalorr.', the orbs required for the puzzles never load in, so it is impossible to progress any further. Reloading the area/restarting the game has no effect; the orbs are never seen.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? 1. Go from the outpost to the Devastated Settlement area 2. Progress through until you get to the first puzzle with the block and the spinning contraption. The laser beam in that room will be active and can be used to melt vines, but there is no orb in the holder.
What happens when the bug occurs? No orbs have been spawned in by the game at all.
What do you expect to see? Orbs should be present and usable to activate the laser beams

    Sometimes the orbs are not in the immediate area of the puzzle. You need to go find them.

    I have the exact same problem as OP, and there is no orb to be found. We both did exactly as the game intends, we squeezed through the gap, pulled the box from up top, turned the gear to melt the goo and the orb that is behind the goo normally is simply not there. I even make backup saves and used one from before I entered the area, and there was no orb there then either.

    I’m having the same problem. I even looked up a video of how to do the puzzle. The orb just isn’t there. Either it never spawned at all, or I accidentally pulled it at some point while interacting with the box. Either way there is absolutely no way to progress at this point
