Re: Game Progression Lost on PS5

Hi Everyone, 

I wanted to check if anyone is still running into this, or if you recovered your progress. 

If not, try downloading your save from the PS cloud to see if it has the most recent progress. 

  1. Go to Settings > Saved Data and Game/App Settings.
  2. Select Saved Data (PS5) or Saved Data (PS4).
  3. Select Cloud Storage and select a game > Download to Console Storage.

  • Mine crashed after a whole week of playing, showed as corrupted save, then took me back to Coruscant Industrial Stacks, on 5% progress.

    I can't play all that again, I'm going to have to take a long break before I can come back to this game.

  • The issue is the cloud save for everyone was hours/days old. In my particular case I had auto upload on and yet the last save was a week old. Is there really no other fix that to just do it over again? Are the devs even working on a fix so this doesn't happen at least?

    I have opened mines today to find my most recent saved data, on console and cloud is from weeks ago, I was previously 29hours gameplay in, now I am 1hour in.

    It looks like my last save on ps plus was maybe almost two weeks ago because i have 16% campaign completed. But iam sure about that it is not possible to be that old. I saw same date and time on both ps5 and online cloud storage. So still i dont know what happened. Why we cant just use manual save? Its 2023 jesus christ let us manual save the game. We need more choices. This is on you. Imagine to lost 52 hours of your life due the bug to start the same game again because you want to complete it 100%. Look on the screenshots. Do you think there is somewhere file in ps5 console locked for read? And maybe devs will fix it? Or i need to really stary again?

    We need a more depth response from EA here, you have been made aware of this it seem through various channels and have yet to offer any meaningful reply?

    Thank you for the reply but this solution doesn’t work. When selecting cloud data and downloading it to the console the same issue occurs where the data is a couple days old just like the console storage. So when I try to download the cloud storage it’s still placing me hours back from my original save and I can’t do anything to fix it. I know you are only the community manager and can’t really fix anything directly yourself, but if this issue could be passed around or talked about at least for PS5 that would be very helpful. I’ve saved the game and wait just like it told me to and even done it multiple times before logging off at this point I don’t even know what to say.

  • Appreciate the response, but unfortunately I already tried that and it did not work. It seems like a few other people in the thread have tried it too.

    Is there anything that EA might be doing to recover the lost saves or at least compensate for the hours and progress so many players have lost? I appreciate you're only the messenger but I'd be very grateful to any insight you can offer
