Clicking on PLAY closes the Launcher, but game won't launch

Question

I've been playing this game for a few days on my new laptop and it's been running smoothly

However, just earlier until now, once I click play, the launcher promptly closes, but the game doesn't open.

It shows on Steam that I have the game running, and there is a SWTOR process on the task manager (links to swtor.exe)

But there is no icon on the taskbar.

The only culprit I have is I ran Windows Update before, and it only updated my BIOS/UEFI version, so I don't quite think that's it.

So far I've tried

- Verifying game integrity

- Installing DIrectX9 & the Microsoft Visual C++ Redist

- Reinstalling the game

- Updated my drivers

- Rolled back to a previous Windows Update (BIOS/UEFI versions can't be rolled back, however)

No such success.

My specs:

Acer Nitro ANV15-51

13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-13420H

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050

8192MB RAM

and see if any change&nbsp;Remove and re-add exceptions for the game in both the antivirus and firewall in case its being blocked

@proxos666Edited client_setting.ini. It did not have any of those lines so I had to add them.Removed and re-added SWTOR to Windows Defender &amp; Windows Firewall.Still the same outcome - nothing is coming out after the launcher closes.

Reset my PC as a last resort, SWTOR now functions normally. Shame I couldn't find the solution properly.

@proxos666The error returned. The game was still running yesterday, and I haven't downloaded anything after playing.I looked at Windows Update History and there have been updates that I can't roll back, I'm guessing those are the culprits.In any case, I've revoked resetting my PC as a solution - there seems to be a conflict between SWTOR and recent Windows Updates rollout.Til then, I don't think I will be able to play the game.Was wondering where I could reach out to&nbsp;inform devs about this issue
