Game worked yesterday. NVidia update last night. Three other games all work fine. SWTOR puts my monitor into sleep mode. I can sign into the launcher via steam, hit play, then black screen for about 3 seconds and sleep. I don't care whose fault it is i just want a solution. I have tried everything i can find on the net.
update: Not solved but ALT + TAB on launch then open game with an immediate ATL + ENTER put me into windowed mode. That gave me the pink bar of death at character select. Close down relaunch pink line is gone and stuck in windowed mode. Work around achieved.
If it occurs again check the settings in the client_setting file detailed in this guide
With the pink bar/screen with nvidia this normally occurs when alt tabbing whilst loading
if you have an issue occur immediately after a driver update, there is always the option to revert back to an older nvidia driver too
