Keep getting unspecifoed error message on swtor

On my swtor game, I keep getting the message "This application has encountered an unspecified error. Please try this patch again." I have logged out and logged back in and I have restarted my laptop. I want to know what's going on. The game won't initialize and let me play the game.

    I gather you are getting unspecified error ?

    If they are not there then they are not running, if you have rebooted and tried the repair option in this link see if the repair utility helps at this link

    @proxos666

    Thank you for the assistance you provide on this forum.   Last night both my game and my son's game (separate Windows 10 laptops) played fine.  This morning, neither of our machines can log in.  Both are getting the "Unspecified error" message when attempting to launch the game.  I have followed all the instructions in the links in your message above (removed and restored access through the firewalls, deleted the BitRaider .xfr files and config folder, downloaded the launcher update utility and run it.)  No dice.

    Since it happened on both our laptops at the same time, does that indicate something changed with our network?  It's just strange.

    Thanks for any other ideas.

    It is very likely there is a communication / routing error on the internet and cant talk to the bitraider side.

    In the bitraider folder is a file called swtor_swtor this should indicate if this is the case.

    If this is the case it is either wait or switch to non streaming per this link  (it disable bitraider so not used anymore, so no more issue) , if you decide to switch just chnage on one laptop and do one new download, after that in the other laptop delete the bitraider and asset folder then copy and paste the entire game folder from the laptop that downloaded the game again to the one you just deleted the asset folder.

    Hope that makes sense, this way you fix both without downloading twice.

    @Ramlyns

    Yeah it is unfortunately, the only bright side is with non streaming you will never see this unspecified error again, it is a bitraider only error.
