Launcher wont open

yes still problems with the launcher have to play swator from my girlfriend pc......

First try the repair utility at this link  and also remove and re-add exceptions for launcher.exe in the antivirus and firewall.

Can also right mouse click the swtor shortcut and run it as administrator , see if any change.

II. Launcher Cannot Patch Itself.........didnt work

In the game folder is a log folder , if you can attach the latest log will see if anything is recorded at all when pressing play ? these logs are dated so see if any exist after this started.

Other then that take the system to a full clean boot per this link and see if the launcher appears (note if bitraider is disabled the play button wont appear but it is just to see if the launcher appears at this stage).

Post a dxdiag as well per this link so can see if anything is out of place, in the past for example there has been some rare occasions the launcher hasn't appeared and re-installing the intel video driver has solved the issue.

I can not see anything out of place in the dxdiag 

Ensure the internet setting has no proxy servers setup in the web browsers, this can affect the launcher 

Another good way to test is to create a new windows administrator profile and see if the launcher appears, if it doesn't that windows user account can be deleted as it is just to test with.

Can check the winsock stack 

Try this open a command prompt as administrator and try the following commands

netsh int ip reset resettcpip.txt

press enter

and then type

netsh winsock reset

press enter and reboot the PC

any change ?

 check the winsock stack ---------no help
