Need clear answer on characters slots per server

Thank you, I did read what she wrote to me and basically it sounds like she's saying somehow I ended up with 61 characters but I only had 60 slots, but the game told me I had 61/61, so that just doesn't seem to click for me.

I guess my thoughts are that if that was the case then adding one more character slot would be the decider 

if the slots do go to 61/62 then everything is working as it should 

if the slots stay at 61/61 then that has to be enough to go back and go huh what the heck is going on here.

I can make some informal enquiries to see if the database , confirms what Jackie has mentioned to you

Ok seems there is a bug with the server character display, the second number cannot be lower than the first one but the first one can be lower than the second one

So if after the server merge you had more characters then slots , eg 61 characters but only 60 slots that server actually showed as 61 /61 not 61 /60 

the only way to know the correct number of slots is to look at another server that has fewer characters then slots , so say another server had 30 characters it would display as 30 / 60 

does that make sense ? so if you buy one more slot you should be good if the other servers now display as 61 slots

Good news, with the help from all of you and your clear explanations, I was able to see that the server said I had 61/61 slots on my server, so buying one gave me the new character slot I was attempting to get all along and I've been able to use it!  THANK YOU ALL.  You've been a great help to me and I really appreciate it.
