If your playing story chapters and companions disappear that is how the story chapter works.  During story chapters you are restricted to only using a specific companion or having to choose a companion to play.

Once you complete the story chapter, you will get the ability to use any companion you want at any time.  This will be the case through both KotFE and KotET expansions and possibly through future expansions depending on how they are designed.  But currently for those two you cannot just use any companion you want to take, it's restricted based on the story needs.

    When replaying Chapter 3, T7 disappears PERMANENTLY. He DOES NOT show up in the companions window EVEN AFTER YOU COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE CHAPTER! The only way to keep him is to start chapter seven, get to the point where he's in your party and exit the mission without abandoning it.

    I have heard that people who submitted tickets got T7 back, but free players CAN'T EVEN SUBMIT TICKETS! (wth EA, really?). Please EA, give us free players our little droid pal back!

    If your a F2P or preferred player you can try to email support@swtor.com to see if they can resolve the issue.  Just include character name, server and details of the issue.

  • I actually sent an email to them, and guess what? I got a response back and the response can be sumorized as "Well you're not a subscriber, so I can't help you. Sucks to be you". Well ain't that a slap on the face!

    I was under the impression in the cases of a missing companion that summoning a different companion restored the ability to summon the affected companion ?

    Will try and get more information on this

    I would recommend sending an email again and detail that "T7 is permanently missing" , hopefully they will assist the second time around, let me know how this goes.
