Trash Crash

What in the absolute hell have these idiots done now? 

After the 7.9b update, the game crashes for absolutely no reason after pressing play on the character select screen. I even lowered all of my graphics settings as low as they can go. Switched to windowed mode. Deleted the settings ini. and verified game files and game file integrity.
