Trying to Remove My Autheticator, as it was from an old phone

Trying to Remove My Autheticator, as it was from an old phone, and replace it with my new one, i know what my password is, but it wont let me login, when I try to request a new password it wants the code, which is on a phone that had to be returned because it literally caught fire(odd reason lol)  any tips? I dont want to make a new account and was in the attempt to resub to play with a friend.

It seems i cant find a single way around my issue as i cant remove the autheticator without logging in, and i cant get a new password without it.

As well when i tried calling in the past few hours, after 1-2 minutes hold time theyre side of the line sounded like someone picked up, dead air for 30 seconds, hung up. happened 3 times.  please help me out ☹️

Unfortunately there are only two ways to remove the authenticator.  Either the above steps or by calling customer service to remove it manually once they verify your account.  I'm not sure what number your calling, below is the contact information for them.  You can also try via skype to see if you can get through that way instead of the normal number if it keeps hanging up on you as below:

For details on how to contact SWTOR support you can follow the steps outlined in this article here: How to get help with STAR WARS™: The Old Republic™

[CM Edit - Edited post to provide an article on how to contact support for STAR WARS™: The Old Republic™ - EA_Illium]

Simply set the country to U.S.A and you can call them for free

If you are calling from a different country above or how to use skype to call for free, see the below link for contact numbers for other countries and more information on using Skype to make calls:

To remove your old authenticator follow the below steps:

    Source

To remove your Security Key from your account:

    1. Go to www.swtor.com and log in
      • Enter your display name and your password, and click on Log in. (Leave the security field blank, just enter name and password and click Login)
    2. With an existing Security Key, you'll see a prompt to enter your Security Key Code. Below the code entry box, click on Lost your Security Key?
    3. Instructions will appear on how to remove your Security Key. After reading them, click on Request One-Time Password.
    4. We'll send you a One-Time Password to your SWTOR account’s registered email address.
      • If you can’t find this email in your inbox after a few minutes, check your spam/junk folders in case your email client identified it as spam.
    5. Copy/paste or type the One-Time Password exactly into the requesting field in your browser.
    6. Once we accept the One-Time Password, you will need to confirm the removal of your Security Key.
      • After confirming, an on-screen message will show that our system successfully removed the Security Key from your account.
      • From here on, you will only need to use your display name and your password (and sometimes a One-Time Password) to log into the game and website.

im not sure you read my post.  I can't login, because it has the autheticator, there's an odd issue with my password so i cannot reset my password, because i don't have an autheticator code, and when I call into the phone number which i did over the past 4 hours, it keeps hanging up after 1-2 minutes on hold.

I'd rather not have to start a new account as my old account was a paid one with decent items.
