Windows 10 EVGA GTX 980 4g card crashing (display driver)

I just resubbed to SWTOR about 2 weeks ago after 3.5 years off. I am having issues with my display driver crashing constantly...sometimes freezing the computer up. I have installed the most recent live drivers from Nvidia using DDU in safe mode, and also tried the driver previous to the current live version. I also changed my grass graphic setting to 0 and nothing helps.

This is the only game that my computer crashes on. Any suggestions?

I've had this bug at least since 4.0 came out through all the NVIDIA driver updates. since then. and I'm useing a GTX 970 card.  I'm guessing 4.0 has a bug thats causing stability issues with NVIDIA cards

I also have started having stability issues after 4.0 on my GTX 970 cards.  Fully updated and no issues on other games / apps.

There was an issue a while back specifically with EVGA 980s and unstable overclock , to see if this is the issue simply place the Nvidia driver into Debug Mode per here

Symptoms by memory was grey or colored screen and freezing
