5 of our most powerful members in our guild just quit the game

Really? Poor drop rate didn't start today quitting game for that reason appeared not to be telling the the whole story.

It probably happened over time. The constant feeling of not getting anything out of spending a ton of energy certainly takes its toll.

They just left your guild.

We are in an established guild who had extremely low turnover for 8 months and we complete heroic AAT without any issue.

No, they did quit the game as we see them falling in arena ranking and being guildless ;)

They were probably banned for cheating lol

if EA changed the droprate every time 5 established players quit the game, we would have a 100%^100000000000 droprate
edit: sucks for your guild though. But we are all going to reach that point when we're done, for whatever reason the game just doesn't feel fun anymore.

If you're top rank in arena and pulling in enough crystals the drop rate won't bother you. I've done normal refreshes up to the 200 crystal mark and could get 50 salvage in 2-3 days. If your top guys quit for that they must be really impatient.

Sure the terrible drop rates are nothing new, but the grind to get your toons to g11 is fairly new and it's starting to get to me too. It's the same overall problem this game has always experienced. They expand content and requirements (which is good), but do not expand resources available at the same rate. So what starts off as a slow grind gets progressively slower every time something new is added. After a while, you are trying to run in thicker and thicker mud. Just wait until g12 is introduced. You'll see many more high end players call it quits.
