Even though the term "dev" is used generically, I think most people here know that whatever issues they may have with the game aren't with the foot-soldiers, but rather with the order-givers. That's how it always is, really. "Dev" is shorthand for everyone involved in the game generally, and, well, providing feedback here is the only option available to us. I agree that it should be provided positively whenever possible, but it should be provided.
In many/most cases, the feedback being ignored hurts them as much as us.
(I'm a former developer and now work in QA. If you think devs get blamed for decisions made by higher-ups that they oppose, try working in QA sometime. :) Software-users don't realize that when products ship in a horrible state or with bugs that sit unfixed for ages.. this is 99% of the time a decision made by management over the objections of the QA team.)
