Concerning to see some of the responses in this thread, that people would so readily accept someone wanting to identify as a genocidal dictator. I would report them in-game. I've encountered racial slurs in gamer's names before, they must slip through I imagine, and I've just reported them in-game. Not sure if anything was ever done

Could also be his own family name.... Yes someone used to live with that name cause stuff. Some other family still lives. Who are you to judge people name? Yes. When you murder millions of people, then the folks who are still alive tend not to like you anymore, and we tend to be very suspicious of the people who love a mass murderer. EA is not the first to have a content moderation policy in their games and forums and won't be the last.
This is what the world has come to now. And I'm fine with throwing side-eyes at people who glorify actual killers. What's really weird is how people who want the free speech to praise the leader of WW2 Germany think the world is ending when other people use our free speech to say that's not a good look, dude.
As for EA, they're a corporation in a capitalist system. If they make more money than they lose by having a content moderation policy, then they'll moderate content. Don't like it? Well, you could always stop participating in capitalism. I'm sure that will work out well for you.
In the meantime, once again, this is in fact what the world has come to: murderers get bad reputations and capitalists want your money more than they want free speech absolutism. I don't understand why either of those things would be surprising.
