I’m honestly wondering if they are going to somehow canonize Starkiller through this show like maybe Vader hid him as an inquisitor to protect him and marrok is just a weird pronunciation quirk for marrik. It wiuld also explain why he is the only inquisitor left in the entire galaxy because of his training.
Safe to say the Inquisitor we're seeing is wearing a mask specifically for a big reveal later on. Starkiller would be cool but he went to the light so it'd take some quality explaining how/why he went bad again let alone how hes alive.
Ezra being the Inquisitor (as many people are speculating) may be a bridge too far for me with current Star Wars. I can think of about 54 gigantic plot holes this creates and I, sadly, have no faith the writers will have the ability to flesh such a monumental change out effectively.
I can certainly handle direction changes but the big issue with the last few years of SW (IMO) is there are serious changes to lore, characters, and the rules of the world without exposition. I'm waiting for Luke Skywalker to show up with 2 blasters, a jetpack and no lightsabers because Mando is cool so why not make Luke cool too? That change requires exploring and the recent SW has shown an inability to flesh out story components. I'm really really really hoping Thrawn is different and we will know soon enough...
Maybe this could be his good origin Story, like he never had the chance to be good in cannon and Ahsoka will redeem him to the light, adding yet another powerful force user to Rey's new Jedi order. OR, they cab explain it away as an offshoot of the bad timeline in FU II where Vader had finally perfected the cloning process. The only other explanation that would be huge and a good fit for Ahsoka's backstory if they somehow say that they are Barris Offie, but IDK how they could do that TBJ
