Another Fleet Mafia

So I've read many threads on this topic on both Reddit and here and tbf I'm likely to say the same thing but it is very disappointing that CG does not appear to care about this issue and appears more...

Shard mafias are a dice roll. You might be in a shard with a bunch of decent people who want to collaborate to save everyone the headache and ensure that the most people get the most crystals. You might be in a shard that has little activity overall. I'm lucky: my fleet shard isn't terribly active and the shard mafia is a bunch of agreeable people; we rarely ever actually talk, but everyone keeps to their payout time and tries not to bother others.

Or you might end up in an active shard where a bunch of a-holes will camp out in top 10 and take it as a personal insult if anyone new tries to compete fairly.

Time and time again threads have been posted here that proposed sensible solutions to the fleet arena issue.

take crystals out of Fleet Arena and put them in GAC, like CG did with Squad Arena
change the model of Fleet Arena to award prizes based on highest rank achieved within a 24 hour period instead of rank held at the exact moment the timer runs out
take reports seriously and ban players who run their fleet shards like a dragon guarding its hoard of gold

CG have to be aware of the Fleet Arena issue, there's no way they don't know after years and thread after thread after thread on the forums. At this point we must take their inaction as as a statement: they're fine with Fleet Arena as it is.

Completely agree with you and I think they are fine with fleet arena anf this isn't a problem that is effecting them enough to do anything. They have gone for increasingly aggressive pricing strategies and monetisation. Don't get me wrong by no means are they horrendous. I play World of Tanks and their monetisation is disgusting with nested loot boxes.

Since i started the game way back there have been so many positive changes and I like the concept of lsb's letting new players catch up. But they've also slowly nixed better value items (Remember the crystal subs you could buy) for ascension packs. I still think compared to most games they really aren't that bad. But the point being fleet doesn't generate them any revenue really, it costs them with the crystal rewards.

Players like the big ticket GL's and the characters so fleet has just been left as is. I would really like to see an overhaul of fleets some day no just to stop this problem but actually make it more engaging and fun. But yeah for now they do seem seem fine with it so you have to so what works for you. It's so frustrating that this experience converts a paying player to a ftp but hopefully it's those players on my fleet shard now bankrolling my free game play 🤣
