Agreed, the problem isn't the drop rate it's the fact that we only get 6 chances a week. We've all gone 10-12 sims for purple gear without getting one, but when that is two weeks of chances with 0 that sucks
Wish they could figure a way to make it more consistent and 'fair' for all
