The new unified ladder and skill rating system is designed to reward people for expanding their roster and *gasp* spend. Everyone will run across their own glass ceiling sooner or later, determined by their roster, number of GLs, mods and the human pressing the buttons. When you reach a point where you feel your skill rating has stalled, frustration kicks in. That's when you spend which is what CG wants.
