Arena Payout Sniping
Fix arena payout sniping, it is not competitive or fun to be locked out of your payout despite being able to hold the position for the majority of the day uncontested.

I think many of you are missing the point. I can lock people out too, I hold a top 5 spot right now and rarely dip below #2. I have no trouble keeping #1 for my payout with the occasional snipe getting in the way. People are struggling to beat my team (I can tell because I'm unable to attack because I'm engaged and don't lose my spot).
I think the system for Arena ranking is poorly conceived and could be done better and I want to encourage new ideas. It is not competitive or fair. I'm not complaining because I can't get or keep #1, I'm complaining because I don't like it. Even the guy with 91 7* characters who I fight constantly for #1 can't keep it.
Or he can ... ;) good mods made it able to keep #1 without fighting
He's running maxed out Wedge (L), Biggs, Emperor Palpatine, Lando, ST Han (223 speed) at the moment. Unless his Emperor stuns my whole team, I beat him every time.
He switches to all the best teams and mods constantly and I am able to beat him, so no, I don't think anything really works on defense. I don't have to refresh to keep #1 and there are times that I don't even attack at payout time because I cannot and I still take #1.
I'm not sure why you guys are defending the current arena system. I'm all for gaining 400-500 crystals a day, but I would rather have a more competitive system in place.
He just needs to switch to take out Biggs and put in a 230+ speed Poe and then you will lose more often. That team will beat me in 20 seconds if my STH and Palp can't avoid poe's TM and then Palps's stun.

He was running 235 speed Poe and Han ended up being the more difficult of the two.

Not all players performance in constant though, so it's hard to attribute it all to mods, team comp, gear or anything really. Like some days, no one in my server is pushing hard. Some days, the top 6 positions are in lockdown for like the last half hour. Depends on SO many things.

The only way they could probably do live PVP is to have a separate area in the Cantina where you go into it and make yourself available for a match and then the system matches you based on rank. Kind of like how matchmaking was done in WoW. Not sure if it's possible in this game or not. The PVP should be a different format though, 2v2 or 3v3, shorter matches.

Revenant. I have tried to figure out your payout time before but that's impossible because anytime anyone attacks you then you attack right back. Perhaps that is the main reason that you think you are sitting in first uncontested.
