You will be competing against other players who bought HDB.
F2P will be competing against other F2P players not HDB players.

Option 3:
Away with ranked rewards in Arena
Introduce division f-a
Everyone start in division f on Sunday, refreshes every Sunday.
For argument sake take away the 10 min refresh and take away the place swap system.
Everyone get 5 battles per day.
You get 1 point for a lost and 3 points for a win.
You need 15 points to move from division f to division e
You need 15 points to move from division e to division d
You get the idea it takes 15 points to move from division to division.
Division rewards:
Division f 50 crystals, 200 arena tokens and x amount of money
Division e 100 crystals, 100 arena tokens and x amount of money
Division d 100 crystals, 100 arena tokens and x amount of money
Division c 100 crystals, 100 arena tokens and x amount of money
Division b 100 crystals, 100 arena tokens and x amount of money
Division a 100 crystals, 100 arena tokens and x amount of money
Rewards are accumulative, you get rewards for division f+e+d+c+b+a
Rewards are send to your inbox daily at reset.
F2P can reach division a in 6 days without spending if they do 5 battles and win all 5
Big spenders can reach division a by spending 300 crystals.
Everyone who reach division a gets the same rewards.
This is where it gets interesting.
Reward players for spending real money or crystals.
The more you refresh and fight the more points you get.
x amount of points will give you extra rewards for example
500 points per week will give you 330 Piett shards
1000 points per week will give you gear to take Piett from gear level 1 to 13
2000 points will give you enough materials to take Piett to relic 7
15 000 points will give you a GL
20 000 points will give you GL's abilities
I think this will bring Arena to life instead of doing 2 daily battles for daily achievements.

@SidVicious444 So, whoever plays more battles receives more rewards (as if the game isn't time consuming enough as it is) ? And instead of encouraging players to battle the highest ranking player within their scope (potentially the strongest player) your system encourages players to battle the weakest enemy? And with no place swap and no 10 minutes refresh you can just keep fighting this one weakest enemy over and over again? And 167 wins on the same week (less than 4 refreshes for 5 new battles per day) will win you 330 Piett shards?
You really should begin to think your ideas through....
