Not really. He **** off a group of people that rotate the payout in his arena. He **** them off so they all go and attack him. Happens all the time and people get pushed way out of the top payouts.

Only thing he can do is either form a group of people to go after all of them. (Not going to happen) Or he can spend a lot of extra crystals to get a higher payout. (Seems counter productive.)

And that is the s**t that needs to be fixed. The whole shard chats and targeting players that don't comply needs to be addressed, that is what's ruining the spirit of competition in arena. Being told that "hey you can only be 20-10 this week, maybe next week top 10".. that's ridiculous.

Players who are intentionally abusing a flawed system to their benefit need to be suspended or banned. Easy solution is to not show player names or allow the other players to view anything about their opponent, that way they have no way of contacting the other party or arranging "ganking" groups.

Speaking as a member of a shard chat, this type of patio is disgusting. The whole point of shard chats is to maximise fun and minimise frustration for everyone, not form an exclusive club which gets to dictate who's at the top.

I'm not sure if there's a case to be made for harassment here, especially if they're going out of their way to hit you.

But shard chats are good because people in them say they are!

I don't think they harass you on purpose. Unless you been impolite or annoying as hell during their payouts... But imagine a group of people that know each others for a while by chatting everyday. Then when they climb up they have to choose between attacking you or their shard mate they know... They will obviously choose to attack you. If their group is large enough that's probably why it feels so harrassing, because they probably don't have much choices left when climbing up. You can either join them or live with it until CG chooses to change the shard system, which they said they're happy with.

"Rightful position" what a laugh. If they are sniped from that position how is it rightfully theirs??

This post is greatly describing the situation.
Try to cooperate with them. Someone refusing to cooperate, abrupting a groups internal designation of spots (which requires a significant coordunation), snipes them from their rightful position, is definitely going to be a big red target.

Cooperating and socialising works much better than qq, and as a pro tip, this advice isnt solely for the game but pretty much every area in life too.

I feel for this dude. Some chats are closed and members will go to great lengths to defend "their" spot. Some of these (mine included) are so coordinated that they attack one after another driving the player down several payout levels. Similar had happened to me and I still have the screen shots of the conversations with some of these tool boxes. In mine there were 7 others in my payout who rotated but I was told that I would only be allowed to get top 20 "most of the time". I agreed to not hit them at payout and even with that they still see too it that I stay out of the top 10 by chain attacking if I get within striking distance. I tried diplomacy, I've tried being an annoyance, I've tried changing payout and nothing works. Some of these shards are run by trash and in these instances I would love to see EA shuffle them around so they can maybe see how much it sucks to be blocked out.

Lol at people who think there's any "spirit of competition" in arena.

This game is pretty badly designed. There's nothing players can do about it. Blame the devs for creating this mess. Blame the whales for feeding them resources.

Collusion can be handled quite easily in a number of ways. It just isn't a priority for CG. They simply don't care. This type of feedback has been falling on deaf ears for years.

Our arena shard is doing great but I think you need to see things from another point of view.

We currently have 35 people in our payout shard and is extremely difficult to climb. The majority of people we know and have been playing for over 3 years.

Now we have a bunch of new randoms with recently bought Revans who were non existent for years but out of the blue they show up and want top spots.

It’s very difficult to coordinate 35 people to get into the top 5 spots without blasting your shardmates into oblivion.

If you were in contact with them a year ago and cease contact, then you decide you want to start climbing again, you screwed up. You missed out on a year of bonding and becoming buddies with them and wanted to isolate yourself. They are viewing it as “he was in contact with us a while back and stopped, maybe he quit or doesn’t care anymore.”

People that wait forever to make connections will end up being hurt in this game. Patience of following rules, getting in on the discord server with them, and just be helpful (hitting other enemies) will make your chances of being accepted into the group much higher. My two cents.
