IMO there is nothing wrong with waiting till the phase where you can do your best damage is open. For some that will be P1 for others that will be P2 or P3.
If the raid keeps as it currently is, IMO you will be left behind by waiting on P1 to finish. 700k and greater is very easy to achieve in T7 P1.
