I say hogwash and don’t believe that excuse for a second. These are extremely intelligent people and there’s very little chance they believe that data is truly relevant in this case and if so, just wow.
I think the truth is that not only can they not monetize it like they would want to, they probably believe it would negatively affect income.
It's a F2P game with the option to pay environment. You have a problem with working on a smaller scale within itself?
